Seeing as we live in Maryland – we decided we should take some time to explore our own new home. We often find ourselves spending Sunday in Virginia, but there are also beauitful places and interesting historical sites right in our area.

Last Sunday we headed south and followed the Patuxent wine trail. We hit up two wineries before someone suggested that we head down to Slack Winery on Solomon’s Island. It was the perfect location to spend a few hours, and we picked up a couple bottles of wine!

This week we spent a couple of days with our friend Tam, who I went to school with in Monterey. It was fun catching up with old friends – and meeting some new people who live in the area.
