Project Home

Last June we decided to paint our bedroom yellow. And then summer came and we focused on the garden, and all things outside. Other projects (like the roof… and basement…) took precedent. So, this past weekend when Erin was at her first massage clinic – I finally painted our room! At first I was shocked at how bright it was – in fact it was about 2 shades brighter than we had expected. But, after it dried and we got the furniture back in and some paintings on the wall – we LOVE it! It fits our Spanish bungalow perfectly, and it reminds us of California. We even have a beautiful scene from south Monterey Country to see first thing every morning!

In other news, Erin’s Polar Plunge was canceled due to the severe weather we’ve been having – she was disappointed but better to be safe than sorry. And, she woke up Sunday with a cold anyhow, so she still got the benefit of a cold water jump, without the work 😉

The cold is still hanging on over here, and we got another light dusting of snow Tuesday night into Wednesday morning. It’s supposed to be milder this next week, and hopefully we can get outside to enjoy it before another cold front rushes in.

The kitties are tired of the cold too!

Just a normal sleeping bag?

We’re looking forward to the weekend – brunch with a Peace Corps friend on Saturday, and then Sunday Super Bowl! Go Seahawks!!
